Reasons why a child SHOULD watch TV (and which rules to establish)

As a holiday season approaches and the schools are having a break you certainly as a parent want your time off too.
Fortunately for you, regardless of the undeniable harmfulness of excessive exposure of children to screens, there are also a number of positive effects of television on a child, provided that the child is watching a children's program, educational shows, appropriate animated films, documentaries ... Television provides information about the life and the world in which we live, which does not always mean bad things. It encourages the development of intellectual abilities, such as listening, understanding, and memory. Children approach letters and reading as well as foreign languages. If you notice a child showing interest in a particular foreign language, encourage it in many other ways. With a high-quality television program, the child expands his horizons, introduces the human values of this diversity.

Rules how and when children should not watch TV:

1. Do not watch cartoons early in the morning. If the first thing children see in a cartoon in the morning, it is very likely they will not be able to concentrate enough to follow the lessons or other demanding activities.
2. Do not watch cartoons before going to bed. This kind of adrenaline "good night" is not good because it means that there are no limits when a child should go to sleep so the children are crammed to bed at all.
3. Do not watch cartoons for a meal. Meals are rare moments when the whole family is together and can talk.
4. Remove the TV from the children's room. Any electronic devices will be used by children instead of preparing them for the night.
5. Do not punish your child with a ban on watching cartoons. Prohibition achieves the opposite effect: the desire to watch increases. It is necessary to determine and observe the rules on the time when a particular film is being watched.
