HUGS Even the busiest parent should be able to find time for a three second hug, whether it’s first thing in the morning, straight after work or a longer cuddle before they settle down for bed. Sometimes affection can be the ¬fail-safe way to stop bad behaviour. It can lift spirits and change attitudes for both parents and their children and it’s been proven that kids feed off affection from their parents. FAMILY MEETINGS You only need to set aside around half an hour each week to see the benefits of these get-togethers. Kids feel more loved when they are listened to and taken seriously and they are also more likely to follow the rules if they feel they’ve been involved in creating them. 1. Talk, talk, talk. Narrate the day as it evolves. Tell your child, for instance, "Now we're going to take a bath. Can you feel the warm water on your belly? One good predictor of future reading success is the amount of time parents spend reading with their child. Parents can start with simple board books and graduate to picture books and longer stories as their child gets older. Banana Bread recipe

Ingredients: 1⁄2cup butter 1cup sugar 2 eggs , beaten 4 bananas , finely crushed 1 1⁄2cups flour 1teaspoon baking soda 1⁄2teaspoon salt 1⁄2teaspoon vanilla DIRECTIONS Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and crushed bananas. Combine well. Sift together flour, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Add vanilla. Pour into greased and floured loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes. Keeps well, refrigerated.

CHICKEN BIRYANI WITH BIRYANI RICE (RECIPES)

INGREDIENTS 4 cups rice 1 chili pepper 2 tomatoes 2 tablespoons Knorr Tomato Sauce 4 Knorr Chicken Bouillon Cubes Spices (Cumin , Cinnamon , cloves , black pepper , curry ) Green pepper 3 onions , thinly minced 1 minced garlic 1/2 cup Oil 1 pack yogurt 5 cups boiling water DIRECTIONS - Heat oil and butter in a large nonstick pan , fry onion until golden brown. Add chicken legs and stir   fry. - Add water and milk and the contents of Knorr Chicken Soup Sachet to the frying pan. Stir and add     turmeric, curry and white pepper. Leave the mixture boiling with a constant stirring. - Once it starts boiling, reduce the flame and cook for 15 minutes. Add the ingredients and cook on        low heat for 5 more minutes till chicken is done. - Garnish chicken with minced parsley. Serve with biryani rice.
