How to Improve your little one's handwriting

Improve your little one's handwriting by helping them to craft and post their very own letter.

What you need:

Writing paper or card
Envelope
Stamp
Pen or pencil

Method:

There is nothing as exciting for a child than opening the letter box and finding an envelope addressed to them! In this activity they will be able to give that joy to someone else as they will be the one posting the letter to a friend or relative - whom you can ask to send a return letter of thanks.

To begin, decide whether you will send a letter or a card and decorate either accordingly.

It is then up to you what your little one puts on the paper. You may wish to let them write the letter themselves, have them copy a draft letter you've written together, or have them trace over a letter you write onto the card or paper.

Once the letter has been written, pop it into the envelope and show your little one how to address the envelope correctly and adhere the stamp to the front.

It can then be a fun outing going to the nearest letter box to post the letter and a short wait until they receive a reply.
